Welcome to the Edinburgh International Tango Festival!

28th-31st May 2010

The Edinburgh Tango Society is pleased to announce the 2010 edition of the Edinburgh International Tango Festival

Combine a weekend of spring sightseeing in one of Europe’s most beautiful capital cities with some Argentine passion. The third Edinburgh International Tango Festival promises to be something very special indeed.

At the heart of the Festival is the Spring Ball, a grand event featuring Quinteto Angel. Three other nights of milongas on sprung wooden floors will fill your weekend with shows from the teachers on every night. World acclaimed DJ Horacio Godoy (Buenos Aires) and the highly talented James Bates (Berlin, Brussels) will keep your feet moving even after you thought you could dance no more.

Enjoy over 20 workshops (for complete beginners right through to master classes) taught by international maestros from Buenos Aires and Edinburgh, including a very special Tango DJ-ing workshop by Horacio Godoy. Running throughout the weekend in the same venue, they are complemented by the Festival Cafe, a place to relax, socialise or dance!

Four nights of dancing ~ Afternoon dancing at Tango Cafe ~ Over 20 workshops from Complete Beginners to Master Classes ~ Dance performances every night ~ Live music ~ Internationally acclaimed DJs ~ Delightful sprung wooden floors.
